The Good, The Bad, The Ugly 2008

"If our soldiers are not overburdened with money, it is not because they have a distaste for riches; if their lives are not unduly long, it is not because they are disinclined to longevity."
Sun Tzu

This week Our Community was blessed with the return of Willie Roaf. Willie returned to town for the announcement of his September induction into the Saints Hall of Fame. Willie said he would choose to represent Our New Orleans Saints if inducted into the Pro-Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio should he be elected to it. Willie's issue was with Mueller and Haz not Our Football Club.

Charles Grant was stabbed in the neck in February. The details of the fracas are beginning to see the light. Korynda Reed died in the fight outside Club 92 on Church Road in Blakely, Georgia. Charles Grant has been indicted for manslaughter in Reed's death. This story will not go away.

Glass Joe, Dan Morgan called it quits just three months after signing a piece of paper that said he was a New Orleans Saint. It's the Berto completely obscure trivia of the day challenge to reveal who had a longer stint with Our New Orleans Saints: Glass Joe, Dan Morgan or Paul Hornung. After the 1966 season, Hornung was selected by the Saints in the expansion draft on February 9th and signed to a hefty contract, Hornung retired in July rather than risk permanent injury to his neck. At the inception of this team we did have a Heisman trophy winner who lasted longer than Glass Joe, Dan Morgan.

"Longevity conquers scandal every time."
